Ajwa Dates

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: “If somebody takes seven Ajwa dates in the morning, neither magic nor poison will hurt him that day.”
(Sahih Bukhari, Book #71, Hadith #664)

Berney Dates

Similarly, Berney dates offer a rich source of vitamins and minerals that nourish the body, providing energy and promoting vitality.

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: “O’ Aishah, a house in which there are no dates, its people will go hungry.”
(Sahih Muslim)

Black Seed (Nigella Sativa)

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Use the Black Seed for indeed, it is a cure for all diseases except death.”

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Hijama and Qust Al Bahri are the best of your treatments.”

Sennah Leaves

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Upon you is the Senna and the Sanoot (cumin), for in them is a cure for every disease except death.”

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: “A household which has vinegar will never suffer from poverty.”

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Talbeenah soothes the heart of the sick and takes away some of the grief.”

Henna (Mehndi)

Henna has therapeutic properties that treat wounds, leg pain, and headaches. The Prophet (ﷺ) often used it for his own injuries.

The Prophet (ﷺ) used Henna for injuries and advised it for pain in the legs.
(Tirmidhi, Bukhari)

Kohl Ithmid

Kohl Ithmid strengthens vision and promotes eyelash growth, making it a valuable natural remedy for eye health.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Use Ithmid, for it clears the eyes and grows the eyelashes.”
(Ibn Majah)

Ruqyah (Spiritual Healing)

Ruqyah, the practice of reciting Qur’anic verses for healing, can alleviate distress, protect from harm, and cure physical ailments.

The Messenger (ﷺ) taught: “Put your hand on the pain and say: ‘Bismillah…’ and ‘I seek refuge in Allah’s Power…’”
(Muslim)

Hijama (Cupping Therapy)

Hijama, or cupping therapy, is highly effective for detoxifying the body, relieving pain, and balancing spiritual energy.

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Indeed the best of remedies you have is hijama (cupping).”
(Bukhari #5371)

Fenugreek (Hulbah)

Fenugreek helps manage diabetes, reduces cholesterol, alleviates arthritis pain, and supports breast milk production.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “If my people knew what there is in Fenugreek, they would pay its weight in gold.”
(Ibn Qayyim)

Coriander

Coriander is a great remedy for indigestion, fever, and skin conditions. It is also useful in preventing cancer.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Make yours the seed of coriander, for it is a cure for all diseases except swelling.”
(Tibb al-Nabawi)

Fenugreek (Hulbah): it is reported that Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) once said “If my people knew what there is in Fenugreek, the would have bought and paid it weight in gold.” Fenugreek seeds are also known for their anti-diabetic property. They are also considered excellent to treat arthritis and to reduce blood cholesterol. They also increase breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers. Fenugreek contains natural expectorant properties and is considered ideal for treating sinus and lung congestion. It also helps in loosening and removing excess mucus and phlegm. The mucilage content of the seeds help to cure external boils, burns and ulcers. (IBN QAYYIM)

Coriander: The most respected book of traditions state that the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, “Make yours the seed of coriander, for it is a cure of all diseases except swelling [cancer], and that is a fatal disease.” It is also reported ALLAH informed the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam), “She has been given everything.” And then ALLAH revealed that “she” is coriander. Coriander alleviates flatulence and resolves fevers. It is effective in the treatment of leukoderma, and it opens the subtlest networks of the veins. Excess moisture in the body is dried up by the coriander, and it increases milk flow, urine, and menses. It is particularly useful when a person has cold. The oil of coriander is a treatment for baldness and scalp problems, and prevents grey hair. The smoke of the burning seeds is an insect repellent. 

Henna 
One Hadith reports that nothing is dearer to ALLAH than Henna. The holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) recommended it for many conditions : bruises, pain in the legs, infection of nails, burns, and to beautify the hair. Henna is noted for its great heat and its ability to excite the passion of love. The perfume made from Henna flowers is considered to be one of the finest in the world. The dyeing of hands, nails, and feet is a common practice in the East, especially for weddings and feasts.

 Thyme
In the time of the Prophet (s.a.w.s.), it was customary to fumigate houses by burning frankincense and thyme. Thyme is cold and dry in the third degree. An excellent digective aid to heavy foods, thyme beautifies the complexion, annuls intestinal gas, and benefits coldness of the stomach and liver. When drunk as an infusion, it is said to kill tapeworms

 Quince
It is said that to eat Quince on an empty stomach is good for the soul. Cold and dry, Quince is astringent to the stomach, and it checks excessive menstrual flow. A few seeds placed in water will, after a few minutes, form amucilage which is an excellent remedy for cough and sore throat, especially in the young. Quince is also excellent for pregnant woman, gladdening their heart. The holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Eat Quince, for it sweetens the heart. For ALLAH has sent no Prophet as HIS messenger without feeding him on the Quince of Paradise. For Quince increases the strength up to that of forty men.”

Citron 
The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) is reported to have said, “The citron is like a true believer : good to taste and good to smell.” Citron strengthens the heart, dispels sadness, removes freckles, satisfies hunger, and slows the flow of bile. The wife of the Prophet (s.a.w.s) used to treat blind persons with citron dipped in honey. Citron is best taken about ten minutes after conclusion of meals.

Milk

It has been said that milk wipes away heat from the heart just as the finger wipes away sweat from the brow. It strengthens the back, increases brain function, augments intelligence, renews vision, and drives away forgetfulness.

Ibn Abbas (Allah be well pleased with him) reports that our Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) liked milk the most of all beverages.

Milk has been described for increasing stamina, removing dryness from the body. It helps digestion, is nutritious, improves texture of the skin, discharges waste of the body through urine (breaks down), improves brain and mind function, removes stresses and strains from the body. Milk, however, must be drunk in reasonable quantities, for too much milk could cause harm to some of the body function. Such as weakening the eyesight, weakening the joints of the body and also leads to fattening.

Honey 

Honey is considered to be the best remedy for diarrhea when mixed in hot water. It is the food of foods, drink of drinks and medicine of medicines. It is used for creating appetite, strengthening the stomach, eliminating phlegm, as a meat preservative, hair conditioner, eye salve and mouthwash. It is extremely beneficial in the morning in warm water and is also a Sunnah to consume.

The Prophet Muhammed (Allah’s peace be upon him) said, “You have two medicines: honey and the Quran.” (Ibn Maja)

Olive oil 

Olive oil is an excellent treatment for skin and hair problems, it delays the signs of old age, and treats inflammation of the stomach.

The Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) said, “You have olive oil. Consume it and apply it on the body. For indeed, it is from a blessed tree.” (Tirmidhi)

Mushroom 

The Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) said that mushroom is a good cure for the eyes; it also serves as a form of birth control and arrests paralysis.

The Messenger of Allah (Allah’s peace be upon him) said, “Mushroom is a sort of manna which Allah sent to children of Israel. Its water is cure for the eyes. (Muslim, Ibn Majah)

Sayiduna Ali (Allah be pleased with him) reports our Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) as saying, “Mushroom is a good cure for the eyes.”

Anas Ibn Malik (Allah be well pleased with him) reports the Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) saying, “Jannah laughed and the mushroom came out and the earth laughed and its treasures came out.”

There are three kinds of mushrooms:

(1) Black mushroom – this is poisonous.
(2) Off-white and reddish mushroom (pinkish) – this is also not recommended.
(3) White mushroom – its extract is very good for the eyes. If applied for several days, it removes the whiteness from the eyes (blindness). Its extract, however, is not useful for bloodshot eyes. Its extract is especially good for eyesore as a result of heat, but it is not good for eyesore because of cold.

Dried and ground mushroom stops diarrhea and if a paste is made of mushroom with vinegar and placed over the navel of a person whose navel has shifted from a position resulting in severe pains, then the navel will come back into its place.

Grapes 

The Prophet was very fond of grapes, it purifies the blood, restores vigor and vitality, strengthens the kidneys, and clears the bowels.

The Prophet Muhammed (Allah’s peace be upon him) said, “Eat raisins, but spit out the stones, for there is illness, but in the flesh there is healing.” Narrated by Ibn Abbas and Suyuti.

Dates

The Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) said that a house without dates has no provision, also it is to be given to newborns.

The Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) said, “Your women folk should eat dates, for whoever makes dates their food, will produce children with ease.” Narrated by As Suyuti.

The Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) said, “Whoever eats seven (‘ajwa) dates in the morning, will not be harmed by the likes of magic or poison for that dat.” (Bukhari)Figs 

Figs are a fruit from paradise and a cure for ailments.

The Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) said, “If you are going to say that any fruit has come from the Garden, then truly you should mention fig, for it is indeed the fruit of Jannah.” Narrated by Abu Darda, Suyuti,

Barley

Barley is beneficial against fever in the form of a soup.

The companions of the Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) used to eat food prepared with barley and beet root after Friday prayers. (Tirmidhi)

Food prophet Muhammad loved

 Pomegranate 

The Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) is reported to have said that pomegranate removes the effect of Satan and his whispers for 40 days.

Sayiduna Ali (Allah be pleased with him) said, “Eat pomegranate with its white membrane for it is a (therapeutic) dye for the stomach.” (Musnad of Ahmad)

It has also been narrated that Sayiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) would take a single seed from the fruit and eat it. When he was asked about that he said, “It has reached me that there isn’t a single pollenated pomegranate on the earth save that it contains a seed from those of Paradise so it may just be this one.” (Bayhaqi’s Shu’ab al-Iman)

It is therefore unsurprising that among the benefits associated with pomegranate are that it:

(1) purifies blood;
(2) invigorates and stimulates the body;
(3) cleans the stomach;
(4) removes obstructions in the digestive organs;
(5) stop diarrhea;
(6) improves digestion;
(7) strengthens the digestive organs;
(8) removes nervousness;
(9) clears the throat;
(10) clears the skin;
(11) neutralizes acid in the stomach.

WATER 
The Prophet sallahu alaihi wasallam said the best drink in this world and the next is Water, when you are thirsty drink it by sips and not gulps, gulping produces sickness of the liver.

MELON: Melon contains 1000 blessings and 1000 mercies, The Prophet sallalhu alaihi wasallam said, “None of your women who are pregnant and eat of water melon will fail to produce off spring who is good in countenances and good in character.

It should be noted that no action or habit of our Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) was ever without reason or wisdom. It therefore follows that the more we emulate our Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him), the more we will benefit from that wisdom, drawing ever nearer to Allah, Most High.

So praise belongs to Allah and may His best and highest blessings be lavished on our beloved Prophet (Allah’s peace be upon him) who came with knowledge and wisdom that dazzle the brightest minds. We pray that this information be beneficial to all.
